First Tee National Championship

Below you will find the requirements. To be eligible to apply, an applicant must meet ALL of the requirements specific to that event.  Selection: Up to 48 participants

• Participants must be between the ages of 14-18 years old (applicants must reach their 14th birthday by the first day of the event date and not reach their 19th  birthday by the conclusion of the event)
• Classified as a high school freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior as of spring semester 2022
• Entered in Salesforce  and has been an active participant for a minimum of two years
• Chapters must have signed their contracts at least 3 years before application deadline in order to submit applicants.
• Applicants will be selected based solely on their golf ability. The selection committee will select participants based off the prioritized criteria below:

-Rolex AJGA Ranking – Junior Golf Scoreboard Ranking – Golfweek/ Sagarin Junior Ranking

• Following this process, the remaining applicants will be selected based off of their golf resume
• An emphasis will be placed on their competitive golf experience (national, regional, state , local tournaments)
• The applicants handicap will be evaluated, and those remaining spots will be filled with the player who has the lowest GHIN handicap ( mote: the handicap must be active with the USGA GHIN Handicapping system)
• Each chapter will nominate up to five participants for the First Tee National Championship
• Participants who have previously attended this opportunity are eligible to reapply
