Our Facility

The First Tee of Augusta was established in 2001 as a junior golf and life skills learning center.  The facility is staffed by an Executive Director, certified The First Tee Coaches, additional staff and trained volunteers.  The facility is located on 40-acres and offers a beautiful 6-hole golf course, a driving range, chipping green, full service golf shop and a snack bar. The First Tee of Augusta welcomes public play, corporate outings, and team building outings, clinics and tournaments, especially on weekdays when First Tee participants are in school.  Although The First Tee of Augusta is open for public play, youth programming is the first priority.  Areas of the facility may be closed during golf and life skills programming. Feel free to call ahead to confirm availability.

Hours of Operation

We are pleased to announce that First Tee – Augusta is in the planning phase for what’s expected to be the first renovation project of the course in 20-years. The intent is to upgrade the course infrastructure and improve the overall playability of the course.  We are working with Harrison Minchew, the original designer of the course, to improve our short game areas, putting greens and possibly relocating a tee box; but we’re not looking to change the overall format of the course

The renovation is scheduled to begin shortly after Masters Week.  Once the renovation begins, we will completely close down the golf course. We anticipate the renovation process taking ~120-days.

Season #2 Program classes will continue per the published schedule. We encourage students to take advantage of the “Youth on Course” program during the renovation. Youth on Course offers students discounted rates at participating golf courses.

Program and renovation updates will be posted on our website at FirstTeeAugusta. We appreciate your patience as we navigate the renovation process. Once complete, we look forward to First Tee – Augusta students and golf patrons of all abilities returning to First Tee – Augusta to enjoy an enhanced practice and on-course experience. Thank you again for your support and patience.

  • Rake your Footprints – If your ball goes in the sand, enter the bunker on the LOW side, rake your footprints and balls imprint as you back out.  Exit the bunker on the LOW side.
  • Keep Cart on Cart Path – The only exception is on holes #3 and #5 where the cart path does not run the full distance of the hole. Note that golf carts are not permitted in the parking lot or on the driving range.
  • Respect the Lightning Alarm – If lighting is in the area, a LOUD alarm will sound.  STOP PLAYING, come in from the course, range and practice area and return to the golf shop immediately.  Golfers are safe to resume play after the ALL CLEAR which is three consecutive sounds of the alarm.  In the event the all clear does not sound, a Raincheck will be issued at the front desk.
